SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System Simulation
The Interplanetary Transport System (ITS),also known as the Mars Colonial Transporter (MCT) from 2013 through early 2016, is SpaceX's 2016 a complex system of spaceflight technology and human settlements on Mars. It is comparitively larger in size than the newly presented Big Falcon Rocket (BFR). It is a 12 meters (39 ft)-diameter vehicle design whereas BFR is a 9 meters (30 ft)-diameter launch vehicle. At 2017 International Astronautical Congress Elon Musk presented his vision to fly around the world under an hour using BFR. This steady-state simulation shows aerodynamics of ITS using ANSYS CFX. Simulation files are also attached for download and modifications. Interplanetary Transport System original CAD model by Kris (https://grabcad.com/kris-22)
